Luvli Admires!

Luvli Monstro is just like any other regular Joe, she likes to sing in the shower and dance around the house, she also has a mentor, a person she imbeds her time admiring, a person that she looks up to! Luvli admires Mia Micheals, a famous American choreographer.

Mia was born in Miami, Florida United States of America. She started taking dance lessons at the age of three from her father who was a dance teacher. She would study at Interlochen Center for the Arts and at Jacob's Pillow during the summer.

Mia Micheals has worked with Celine Dion, Madonna, Ricky Martin, and Gloria Estefan, she has worked on So You Think You Can Dance Canada for five years choreographing contemporary routines and being on the panel of judges. She is famous for her contemporary routine entitled "Calling You", sung by Celine Dione. This number was danced by Travis Wall and Heidi Groskreutz in season two of So You Think You Can Dance, it also won an Emmy award in 2007 for outstanding choreography.

Another one of Mia Micheals famous dances on So You Think You Can Dance is "Mercy" performed by "Twitch" Boss and Katee Shean Steven. The dance was performed on season four of So You Think You Can Dance and was nominated for the 2009 Emmy award for outstanding choreography.

Luvli tells Tricylces Rock that she admires Mia Micheals because her choreography is so diverse. She can do many different styles and excels at all. She takes the task at hand and runs with it whether it's a jazz routine with twenty people or a contemporary duet. Each dance she choreographs tells a story of an experience she has had. For example the contemporary duet "Calling You" tells the story of Mia Michaels when she was in her young twenties. She fell in love with a man that was gay and wanted to take her love but knew that he never could. In the dance "Calling You" the flower that Heidi holds symbolizes Mia's love and the way Travis reaches for the flower but its as if there is a force preventing him from grabbing it. Mia Michaels has retired from choreographing for So You Think You Can Dance this year and she will be missed.
